Me and My Girls Are Takin’ Over

Tiffany Thornton, star of Sonny With a Chance, talked with Girl2Watch about her Disney support system and how it’s great to have friends like Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez, and Miley Cyrus.
Tiffany talked about the spotlight being on celebrities and the pressure/negativity that comes with. She said, “We’re not super-human, and things can hurt our feelings. I recently I took a Twitter break because fans say really mean things on there.” Tiffany continued to say, “I think that the fans need to understand that we’re human too, and if you don’t like us, if you don’t like my music or if you don’t like the way I act, that’s totally fine. I don’t expect everyone to like me. I don’t expect everyone to think that I’m talented in certain areas. People have different tastes. But keep it to yourself. If you’re going to put out energy towards something, put out energy for something positive or don’t put it out at all, because all it does is tear other people down.”
I completely agree with everything Tiffany said, the full article can be found HERE
Negativity via twitter is part of the reason Miley deleted hers, and also why Demi and Tiffany take twitter-breaks. I’m all for constructive criticism but sometimes people can be down right rude and hurtful towards these stars. Tiff’s right, they are people, too, and should be treated with the respect every person deserves.
