Taylor Swift has been nominated for two Country Music Association Awards. She is the up for “Entertainer of the Year”, the Awards’ highest honor. Taylor will compete against Brad Paisley, Kenny Chesney, George Strait, and Keith Urban. This is the first time a female solo artist has been nominated in this category since 2000. Kenny Chesney has won the award since 2006.
Taylor is also nominated for “Female Vocalist of the Year”, up against Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, Carrie Underwood (who has won it 3 times since 2006), and Reba McEntire. The show will air November 11 at 8pm est on ABC. The awards are voted on by business members of the Country Music Association.
